to force dark mode

I have a MI 11 lite 5g ne phone and trying to get it in all dark mode.I got as far as getting Developer Options but I don't see any way to get it to force dark mode.
Any suggestions?

Are you sure there isn't a dark mode in the settings? My note 10 can be lite or dark mode from the display setting.

I had a mi10 and it clearly stated a force dark mode but I can't see the choice anywhere in my mi11 lite

unless they are using some technical terms for it(there is a few in developers options)which I can't recognize

What I mean is in Developer Options there should be a choice to Force Dark Mode which in turn allows you to have all your apps in dark mode at all times.And not only a few and the Home screen.

In settings of your device I believe under display you don't have dark mode toggle?

Display - More Dark Mode Options - wait for it to load all apps and check the apps for dark mide. I have a Poco F2 Pro and a Mi 10 Lite 5G both on MIUI 12.5, so I don't know if it has changed - but currently it's the same on both of mine even though Poco has its own Launcher.

My display looks exactly like you are showing except when I get to the individual apps, there aren't any.

Hi. I could not recreate your issue of apps not appearing as a list there I'm afraid.

For sure some other setting is interfering.

Do you have the default launcher in the Home Screen settings, or are you using another launcher maybe.

I have mine set to have an Apps drawer, and in basic alphabetical order, but changing those didn't make a difference.

Annoying for you, I know.

Some settings were hard to figure or differently laid out, but I've got to like MIUI now.

Are you on a MIUI 12 5.x or on MIUI 13 now Just curious.

If you want me to try anything let me know.

I'll look in Developer options having just re-read your OP, and I may not be sure what level of Dark you want to achieve.

I am in MIUI 13 global 13.0.2
stable.I think this is the latest upgrade.I am looking for the same dark mode for every. app
Developer Options should give this choice.My older MI10 had it,my other Samsung phones have it.Perhaps the new upgrade eliminated this option?

The Dark Mode switch in Developer Options for me just does the same as the Display setting, ie if I turn off Dark Mode in Developer Options it will have switched to Light Mode in Display Settings.
Maybe MIUI took away individual swiches for each app that supports a Dark Mode, but there's another way to turn it on in each App Info screen. IDK.

I expect MIUI 13 from the end of this month on at least one of my 2 phones, if I keep them.
