To keep or not to keep, that is the question.

So after talking to a Verizon rep a couple days before Christmas I decided to pick up a SGN as I was interested and wanted to take advantage of the extended trial period (until 1/14 or something like that).

I really liked the phone, the experience is light years ahead of Gingerbread and it seems like we are only on the brink of what this phone can really do.

With that said, it baffles me that I have been flip flopping between whether or not I keep the phone for a while now and still have no idea.

My main issue is that many, if not all of the things I really like about this phone are ICS additions. When it comes down to it many of the weaknesses really lie in the hardware specifically. The battery life, the shoddy camera, the so-so build quality.

What I would be missing would be the phenomenal development community that has flourished around the release of this phone. So my worry on the opposite side is that this phone will always have the leading development and many of the problems could be alleviated in time.

But when you really look at it, pretty much every phone gets rooted and "unlocked" enough that custom roms can be installed, and while they might not be quite as extensive they will bring over any killer features that was developed specifically for the SGN.

The RAZR MAXX peaked my interest but I don't like the look Motorola has gone with for the past few phones (Bionic, Razr, D4) but do like the extended battery and was still on my original Droid X until the SGN.

Anyone else in the same boat and have some words of wisdom for me?
