Hey guys,

I am interested in overclocking this now that I have it setup the way I like and I am wondering how to do so. I have never done this before but I know how to flash, root etc so if anyone knows how to do it that would be awesome. Also wondering what some of the side effects are on the phone for it, if its hard on it etc? Thanks!

you flash an overclocked kernel. i personally dont notice a differance. the phone is plenty fast with no lag as it is.

I wouldnt bother doing, people are so big on quadrant scores, meanwhile you barely notice the difference to the naked eye unless you are playing a graphic intensive game. over clocking also if not done properly can shorten the life of your processer and your battery. just slap a custom rom on there.

Just getting done with an 8 hour run with an overclock kernel...
IMO: The trade off of frustration to actual gains is heavily weighted on the side of frustration.
When you do get the full 1.2 GHz - Battery life is shorter and the only way you know you are getting what you have set up is when you watch the numbers on the widget... if you are into that kinda thing.

In my attempts to underclock the Fascinate - Conservative is the only way to do it.. the phone already runs pretty fast and if you attempt to force it to slow - well it stops. Too many cool settings and a lot of free time leads to lots of battery pulls.

I agree with DroidXcon - a good ROM is the best way to go.
