What is the best way to preserve your older phone? I've had the 9 plus for almost 5yrs. Just upgraded to s24. But I don't want to get rid of my s9. I want to keep it as a back up just incase.

Keep the battery charged to around 50% (not 100%) -- this is optimal for long-term storage. Every 6 months or so, power the phone on to make sure the battery hasn't discharged excessively -- if it has, charge it back up to 50%, then power it back off again. Keep the phone stored in a cool dry place.
