To trade in or keep the old phone as a spare is the question?

Talked to my ATT store and they said it would be well under $100 for my S7. Paid over $700 when it came out (I think $750, it's been a while) and it's in pristine like new condition. Rather than getting basically nothing for it, I was wondering if it would be better just to keep it as a spare device?

Sounds fair to me. The phone goes for around $100-200 on Swappa. It just depends if you want to go through the hassle of selling there.

Or you could keep it as a spare. Honestly it really is up to you. Do you want $100 knocked off the new phone or do you not? If you do then trade it in. If not keep it as a backup.

It depends on your financial situation, if you can afford to, keep it as a spare, or if you are feeling generous, pass it on to a member of the family.

If it's my only extra phone in good working order, I'd keep as a spare because you never know what's going to happen to your daily driver.

A year ago I lost my phone in my sleep. I fell asleep with it right next to me and when I woke up (in the hospital) my phone had vanished.

I was so glad I had a spare phone until I was ready to buy a new one (I always buy unlocked phones and I wasn't updated as to what I would want right away).

So, theft, or an unfortunate drop, or technical issues etc can happen in an instant. Everyone needs a spare phone.

Yea I'll probably keep but I do have other spare phones but it's just that they're much older (S5 and S3).
