Those of you with the S3 already, how do you find the size of the device? I had a nexus and a RAZR, which are both a similar size, but with obviously different sized screens. With the nexus I had trouble reaching the outermost edges of the screen, but it wasn't horrible.

I just went and played with an s3 at the att store, and I had a fair amount of trouble hitting the capacitive and physical buttons. I've been considering the S3 as my next phone, until I played with it.

So for those of you that have it, have you gotten used to the screen/device size?

Previous device was a GNex, the GS3 is pretty much the same size, just with a bigger screen and thinner/lighter. YMMV, I like it. ;)

Well I am a woman with small hands and this phone is not to big for me. I love it:)

I guess the biggest problem I had was with the buttons. They're way lower on the S3, and its not terribly comfortable to reach them. But I didn't know if it got easier the more you used it.

I moved up from my Droid Incredible and the screen is much bigger the phone itself though is really not that much bigger as there is significantly less bezel around it. I don't have huge hands but seem to navigate around the screen just fine. The phone is much thinner than any I have ever had so that helps.

Honestly I though 4.8 was going to be way to big but I have to admit it is pretty amazing and I find the larger screen quote comfortable to use.

(only had mine for 12 hours but so far so good.)

I'm not a fan of the capacitive buttons but as mentioned before, its the same height as the Nexus (which I use as well) but it feels great in my hand. NOT too big.

I'm the opposite, I like the capacitive buttons, and dislike the physical Home button. Feel like I have to push too hard on the Home button, lol. Guess I have to get used to it. :)

Coming from the fascinate, I am still getting used to the size. I can barely use it one handed. I think if it were scaled to a 4.5" screen I would not have problems. And I too wish the home button were capacitive. Now just to sit back and wait for devs to cracked this phone open.

This is a luxury phone for gentlemen and ladies! If you want some baby shrimp phone, I hear good things about this iphone-thingy ;)

I don't think it is too big, but it is taking some getting used to with one hand. I am still working on a grip that feels secure when I just want to respond quickly with one hand. With two hands its always great. And I am actually a big fan of the physical home button, I never feel like I am going to accidently hit it.

It's a big phone, no doubt about it. But I swear it doesn't feel as big as it looks. If you enjoy reading the web or watching Youtube you will love it.

It's too big to use one handed. I'm a guy with average sized hands and still find it uncomfortable trying to reach everything with my thumb. Use two hands and you'll be fine.

I'm coming from a DX and I find this phone much more comfortable to hold and to use. I always used 2 hands with my DX, though, so I'm used to that. I've never even considered using one hand with this phone except of course to answer calls.

Also coming from a DX, and I have to say I'm pretty surprised that it doesn't feel a lot bigger. I put my DX over the S3, and was really surprised at how close they actually are in size. Size was definitely something that worried me a little, I'm finding this trend of smart phones getting bigger and bigger to be a little disturbing. I definitely wouldn't want anything larger than this.

Not sure I like the placement of the power button though, I seem to tend to hit the buttons on the bottom when I'm trying to hit the power button (yeah, I know that sounds weird, but what happens is the phone turns enough in my hand to cause the button to trigger against part of my finger gripping the lower part of the phone).

Oh, and I find that using it in one hand isn't that hard for me, although I find it's a little thing to grip comfortably in one hand (but then I'm used to the thicker DX also).

I'm surprised that a phone this big actually feels pretty small in the pocket and isn't too unwieldy to use. Like some others have said, the capacitive buttons and the home button can be awkward to press. There have been a lot of times when I try to press the back button and accidentally hit the last icon in my home screen dock.

I think it is perfect. In a world of every sized touch screen available, how is size even an issue?

One of the primary reasons I got this phone is because of it's large display. That being said I find it difficult to navigate while using it with one hand. It's overall thinness helps it's ergonomics but its still not ideal for one handed use. However with two hands its great and I wouldnt trade the phone for anything at this point.

So nope, not too big...just too awesome for one hand lol. :D

It's ok. I've been switching back and forth between the GNex and the iPhone 4S the last 6 months. (Using the 4S the vast majority of the time because of the craptastic battery life and signal of the GNex) I think I'm just to laid back because I was ok with both the GNex size and the 4S size. I just got the GIII yesterday but so far I'm ok with the size.

I still think 4" is a sweet spot, with that extra battery life you can possibly get with a smaller screen, and yet still have a pretty good size view.

I don't really have issues reaching most things one-handed, but the issue I'm running into is that the phone feels so light compared to my DX I'm using two hands to make sure I don't drop it.
