Samsung just announced the Galaxy SII LTE HD and it has a 4.65in display which means about 315-316 ppi but at least the vigor will like 30-40 more pixels and remember Samsung had to convert back to pentile for all of the pixels in amoled right now.

It won't have any more pixels, it will just have a higher ppi. It will be interesting to see how noticeable pentile is at this resolution. I really disliked moto's use of it.

pentile in the droid imo was a fail with hd it might work out well. Imo they would be better off with qhd samoled. It would look sharper and with lower rez the phone would have better performance.

Higher pixel density means less obvious subpixels. At 50% higher than the qHD Pentiles and darn close to Retina territory mean I think you won't be able to find a subpixel outside of a 800% macro!

Pentile on the Droid Bionic is nasty as hell, it looks like the screen is made of quilted blanket. And even at full brightness it's too dim in any kind of light.
