Too many apps

I have just acquired a Samsung Galaxy note 4 and it appears to have lots of apps Im never likely to use.
How do I know Im not deleting apps that my phone 'needs'?

If you're not rooted, any app that the phone needs cannot be uninstalled. Some apps it doesn't need also cannot be uninstalled. The safest is to just disable the apps you don't use in settings>apps
