I don't know if it was a general software update that triggered it but several weeks ago I started getting way too many audio notifications. Google, WeatherBug Elite, Walgreen's, and Youtube were some of the biggest offenders although Youtube just stopped on it's on about 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I don't mind getting the notification symbol for the app on my AOD screen or even the home screen but I'm tired of WeatherBug going off at 4am telling me there's an elevated pollen alert for my area or a frost warning.
These notification sounds are the same for when I get a text so I think it could be something important then I look and it's Walgreen's or something meaningless like that.
I've looked all over the phone settings and the app settings to try and find some way to turn the sound off but other than turning all notifications off, I can't find anything. On Friday and Saturday nights I've started putting the phone on silent so I can get some sleep on the weekends.
I've tried turning off all notifications for my local area on Weatherbug but the app just turns it right back on.
I'm on Verizon.
