Top Banner in Google Play Missing

Both of my phones and two of my friends phones now have the same issue. Is anyone else experiencing this? Last time this happened I had to factory reset my phone to get it to display again. Attached a screen. The banner should appear above the Top Charts, Games buttons.

Which banner are you referring to? What does/did it do? I don't see a banner on mine,either, so this is probably an update or change directly in the Play Store (if it was there before, I really can't remember)

It usually displays app sales or other app news. If you don't see anything above the Top Charts, Games, and Categories button then it has also disappeared for you too.

It randomly disappeared for me in the past and I was missing app sales n such. Guess they're making changes to the store and my play store isn't messing up.

Ah, that one! It's showing for me on Books and Music but not on apps. I guess there must be nothing to show there because the main banner on the webpage doesn't show anything for apps either.

I don't have that banner but Google play has had a few updates, the icon has changed recently.

Noticed the same thing, banner gone on tablet, phone and pc. Contacted google support. they said that the ads are set up to individual accounts. If their are no specials for that person no banner will show up. I personally think that was bogus and the tech didn't know what was the problem since my wife and I have totally different tastes and get the same adds all the time. It has been over a month and the banner has still not shown up.
Before it disappeared I had opted out of receiving certain adds, not sure if that has anything to do with banner. Been trying to opt back in with no success.
