So I have a razr maxx hdxt926. I tried to root the phone by using the Droid Razr utility. Since then, I cannot even turn the phone ON to get into Boot load option. The phone seems completely dead. When I plug the phone to the computer, I can hear the connecting sound but I have no idea what I can do at this point. Any ideas? Am I totally screwed? Please help!!

If you can get ADB to recognize it you might be able to save it. Look for guides on setting up ADB and let me know if it recognizes your device.

can't find it. when i go to computer managment on my PC it shows the device as "QHSUSB_DLOAD doesn't that mean I done?

Try holding volume down and power, then turn it back on normally, skipping the boot menu

I've had a very similar problem. I've been using CyanogenMod and had this issue when trying new builds. I've had to hold the power button and volume button for what seemed like for ever (15+ seconds), but the phone did come back on. Holding the power + volume Up & Down should get you into recover, holding just the down will put the phone in Fastboot.

I was using RSD Lite to revert my phone back to a previous version and bumped it in the process. After my phone wouldn't even turn on. It made noises when I connected to the computer but that was it. My device manager showed QHSUSB_DLOAD as well. Nothing could be done.Could not boot into Fastboot or Recovery. Had to get a new phone.
