Touch screen just stopped working

1st time this happened.

Went into app drawer and nothing worked. The home, menu, etc - nothing.

Tried to power off and got that menu but was unable to do anything.

Did a battery pull and so far, so good.

Flyweight & MR2.5 rooted.

Never had that happen myself... do you have a screen protector?

Yup. The translucent one that VZW offers. Either after I cleared some cache or reset of some volume levels, I noticed a lite 'click' sound when touching the icons.

The apps would scroll sluggishly but would not launch. No clicks or nothing.

Very odd.

You might consider removing the screen protector next time... maybe it's time to change it and apply a new one.
