TouchDown email client - Does it use third party servers?

Hello All,

I am new to Android and I have a G1. I have been looking at various email clients that can handle Exchange accounts. TouchDown comes recommended from many sites and articles but I first want to confirm that is does not use "third party" servers to provide access to Exchange. I would like to find a client that connects to Exchange directly. Does anyone have experience with TouchDown to know if it connects directly? Thank you.

Well I contacted Nitro Desk support and they replied to me this morning (on a Sunday even!). This was their reply ...

TouchDown connects directly to your exchange, it stores the connection config on the device, and does not connect to ANY server of external infrastructure other than the exchange server you configure.

That is great news. I guess I will be giving TouchDown a try.
