Towel root not working

I've tried using towel root on my AT&T samsung galaxy s5. It's on the 4.4.2 firmware. When I try to root it says my phone is not supported. I've also tried changing the root code strings which still failed.

Is there any other easy way to root my phone?

you might have better luck in the Galaxy s5 root section, its either at the top of the threads or the very bottom

The exploit that Towel Root used was patched on June 3, 2014, so if your kernel (Settings/General/About device/Kernel) is dated June 3, 2014 or later, it won't work. There's not much for later kernels in out S5 root subforum, but read http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-galaxy-s5-odin-failing-root.html#post3666546 then go to XDA Forums and do what he said.
