Towelroot question

I rooted my at&t samsung s4 using towelroot and then i installed safestrap using the app after i rooted, now since i have a recovery installed and the phone is rooted, do i need to keep both the towelroot and the safestrap app installed on my s4 or can i uninstall them? I am very new to rooting and i do not want to uninstall them and then something doesn't work.

sorry for the hijack, but have a few questions for you:

1. Which version of the galaxy s4 do u have? GT-I9500/I9505?

2. Were you running 4.4.2 kitkat before using towelroot?

3. Did it trip knox counter to 0x1?

2. I am running 4.4.2
3. I'm not sure if I tripped knox but when I boot up under the Samsung logo there is a unlocked padlock saying custom.
