Well, this has come of a bit of a surprise and also disappointment. I was considering trading in my 2014 Moto X Pure Edition for the 2015 model. Moto's website has a section to determine trade-in values and says you can get up ~$425 on a trade-in. So, I plugged in my model number, said that it powers up and the screen is in good condition and was given a trade-in value of $35. Just for the hell of it, I calculated the trade-in value for an iPhone 6 64GB. It came back as $330! This is a huge bummer. I was not expecting the 2014 Moto X to be worth $300. However, $35?! Really??? What is Moto thinking here? I paid quite a bit for the Moto X when it came out and I am surprised to see how poorly it held its value. Makes me wonder about future purchases with Moto.
