Trading Galaxy S3 for Galaxy Nexus

You're gonna miss the speed of the S3. Only advantage I can think of is stock android. Other than that its a downgrade in my opinion.

Ended up going for the nexus. The guy is including $95 with it, and he is getting the phone replaced under warranty before I get it, so it is essentially a new phone. It comes with a case, too.

I need money, and don't really mind the small downgrade the the Galaxy Nexus. My friend has it, and it's an excellent phone. I only use it for light internet browsing and Craigslist, along with Facebook. Some gaming, and I listen to about 2 hours of music daily on it. I carry my laptop around with me where I can, so that's my powerhouse. 4GB RAM, 2.26GHz Core 2 Duo, Windows 7 Ultimate, 15.6" screen, and a discrete graphics card that can handle the gaming I do now (Portal and Minecraft, plus some game making through Unity). I have always liked the Nexus.

Any advantages in the nexus?

As someone who owns both devices I have to caution you. The GNex has the creepiest cel radio on Verizon. Don't let the fanboys fool you. It hasn't gotten significantly better with the various upgrades and switching to Cyanogen Mod it is just as bad so I've concluded its at least partially hardware related.

You will almost certainly regret switching away from the GS3

I am in an area with very high 4G signal, and 90% of the time I am on Wifi. It won't affect me that much.

You might be suprised. There is a 40 dBm difference between the GNex and the Razr and Bionic

Well I need the cash, so I'll just deal with it until the Nokia Lumia 928 comes out. I've wanted to try out WP8, but I don't want to go down to a 4.3" screen (HTC 8X).

I get 90 dBm mostly everywhere I go including lte.

My kid has a Win Phone...It's decent. Not near as many apps, but it'll get there.

I couldn't wait to dump the nexus for the gs3. The display and signal were the two biggest factors for me. The 928 is going to be sweet.

I'm just looking for something to use until the 928 comes out. I think the Nexus will do fine for me.
