Traffic Avoidance

I was testing the Navigation today on my way home from work when I hit bad traffic. Traffic on my commute is very rare. I pulled up the traffic layer and saw it stretched for the next 5 miles to my exit.

I tried to get the navigator to reroute me around the traffic but could not find the option. Is redirection around traffic possible?

If not, please someone create an app for it!
