I am new to "smart phones" and I currently have an lG EnV3. I was hoping to get all of the phone numbers I have on my current phone transferred in to my gmail account so that I can sync my new Incredible (whenever it finally comes) to download my contacts. I have been searching around and haven't found a good way to do this. Does anyone have any suggestions, or do I have to manually add all of my contacts to my gmail account? Thanks in advance!

Download Backup Assistant on your EnV3. Log into your account at verizonwireless.com and hit the "contacts" tab on the menu in red above your phone number. From here you can export your numbers in a .csv file. Then you'll want to go to your gmail account and import them under CONTACTS>IMPORT.

I guess I should have mentioned I don't have a data plan on my phone at all. I can't even download the backup assistant. perhaps I'm screwed?

I would take the block off. At least just so you can do the initial d/l. It'll cost $1.99 for the MB charge but it's well worth the two bucks. It'll save tons of time.

I agree with Senior Incredible, well worth the $2. And you can possibly go back to verizon when your bill comes out and tell them you only downloaded backup assistant which is free (for verizon customers that have an online account). they might credit the $2 :)

I just used the verizon backup assistant, worked perfectly thanks for the advice, definitely worth the $1.99.
