Transfer data AFTER set up....

Got my Pixel 2 3 weeks ago, set it all up. I've decided to keep it, so I need to load up my old texts and a couple of apps that have data...

When I plug in the cable nothing happens. When I look in settings there is no "Pixel is not set up" or "Finish setup" --- HELP a girl....

(sorry, I did a very quick search and didn't come up with an answer - I'm in a big stupid hurry and I hope some of you will be kind and point me in the right direction.)

For a few days, open your Settings app Settings app. At the top, tap Finish setup.

If all you want to transfer are texts, there are apps you can use for that, like SMS Backup and Restore

Anything else should be transferable by going into the old phone's storage from your computer and dragging and dropping.

I did this, I had to reset my new pixel to reinitiate a data transfer.

I had this, I called support the same day and they couldn't figure out out. I just decided to live without anything that wasn't cloud stored (a few SMS basically)
