Transfer sms from iPhone to note 8

Smart Switch on the Note 8. Start that up, choose switching from iPhone, and you should be good to go

I just did this myself today!
In the box my note 8 came in there was a little dongle that you plug into the bottom and connect your iPhone to. Then by using smart switch it will search your phone for content and upload it into your new note 8!

I'm using the USB cable to try that as well with smart switch. it only gets to 3% and says connection failed. tried every possible situation and multiple resets. even did a a factory reset and still not working. anyone have any advice?

That didn't work for me I've tried several things iTunes 3rd party software and nothing ! The Samsung app is able attempt to restore but when I back up it tells me there a nothing there!

SmartSwitch doesnt have option to import SMS for me :-\

See if smsbackup is in the apple store.
If so, use that, then hope the devs made the backup format the same as they did in Android.

If all the messages were sent as iMessages, then it may not be possible to back them up (not entirely sure on this), since they won't be flagges as SMS but as a proprietary Apple only format. I may be mistaken, but this the norm for all proprietary messaging apps.
