transfer video to my mac

I have galaxy s3 and a Mac (not sure of lion or mountain lion.) Downloaded android file transfer and it works but not exactly like it is supposed to. I do not get a DCIM screen to appear that would give me file choices. But when i open iphoto it does show my samsung device. i can not see the tile images of my pictures, they present as blank but once i transfer them from phone to iphoto they appear. However,I do not see my videos or any way to do anything with music. I have the phone set to PTP and no debugging. If i could just make transferring pictures, videos & music simple I will love this phone. thanks!

When a product make a person join a forum to blow off steam....
Wow lets start with the fact that I AM A MAC type of person (3) or more Apple products in house, just not the Phones....That will change as of this bull SH#T phone....
! if u have a Mac home , ah kid with a I-pad or anything (I), the SAMSUNG SUPER SH#T 3 does not do the basic stuff that my Google phone 1 & 2 did.....
Like..............PLUG & PLAY....u know USB to computer drag drop video's, music, pic in like about 10 sec ( on almost any computer, work like ah Flash Drive.....so after software after software download, search after search( maybe I did something wrong ?) i was thinking..NAh so this has brought me to one tru understanding; this phone is a P.C. which is too work with another P.C....does not play well with others...phone for sale :-$

AFT stopped working with the Mac on Mountain Lion. Was great when it worked. Now, you're better off using Airdroid or WiFi File Explorer and transferring files wirelessly.
