Android Central Question

Hi, how can I move saved wifi passwords from my old mobile (Xiaomi Redmi Note 7) to my new (Samsung Galaxy S21 FE)? I don't want to root my phone.

I tried scanning QR codes with passwords from WIFI. The network saved it for me, but it asks me for a password when I connect to it.

Anyone have any suggestions? thank you

Interesting - when I set up my new Pixel 7, coming from a Pixel 4a 5G, the connection information transferred over using my Google account.

Welcome to Android Central! Does your Redmi have the ability to backup to Google Drive? Since it's a Xiaomi, there's a possibility it doesn't have Google services. Wi-fi password backup is something that requires access to Google's own backup feature.

If it does have Google services, then what Android version is it on? Older versions may not have included things like wi-fi passwords.
