Transferring contracts

[Android Central Question]

I have a Galaxy 8. I'm getting a Galaxy 9. Here's my question..some of my contacts are saved to the phone and some are saved to the sim. In order to transfer all my contacts to the 9, which do I save all my contacts on my 8 to? Phone or sim?
