Everyone,
Silly question, I've only had Samsung phones since the the Samsung 6. I am planning for my next upgrade from the Samsung S10 to the Pixel 6. When I transfer my apps and data, will all of bloatware apps be transferring over also?

I didn't get any bloat on my Pixel, but I also only had it install a handful of apps from my last Google backup of my S21 rather than "everything", which shouldn't include the Samsung apps anyway, as they would be stock or from the Galaxy Store. I generally pick and choose what apps to copy when restoring from the backup. Had the same experience when I moved from a OnePlus to the Samsung.

One should hope they would not.

Isn’t all of that redundant garbage part of the “skin” that Samsung grafts into Android?

My guess (emphasize guess) is that it won’t.

Love Android, just getting tired of some of the extra's that are put in that I do not even use and can't remove without going through so many hoops. Thank you all for the responses.

All depends on what you call bloat. Although Samsung installs a heck of a lot more, of my definition of bloat, it takes more time to remove or disable; Pixel is not free of what I consider to be bloat.

I do not have Pixel 6; however, my Pixel 4 came with Chrome, Pixel Buds, You Tube and You Tube music so they were disabled. Night not be bloat to many but they sure are to me.

One person's bloat is another person's favorite app.

That is true, I will give you that. Since I never used most of the Samsung apps, if I move to the Pixel 6 just not wanting to bring them over.
