As for both, it's probably easiest that you export all your contacts as .csv files to the sd card and import those into the Moto G.

The same would apply for your photos. If the photos are currently stored on the sd card, which they should be, then you can just remove the sd card and insert into a card reader and upload to a computer. From there you can transfer to the Moto G. If you have an online service to store photos, i.e. Google Photos, then you can upload with the HTC Freestyle and either sync or download with the Moto G.
