transformer prime email problem

Two days ago my asus email widget apparently reset itself and thinks today is June 7. I have lost a month of email and don't know how to get it back. All other apps have correct date, just email gone bad. Asus help said i have to restore to factory settings. There must be another way that doesn't require backup of everything. Help?
