Trashed 3 EVO 3D's.... what's next?

Since picking it up last Summer, I have warranteed my EVO 3d for the 3 times.

Boot-loops. Lockups. crashes. It happens eventually... every time I get another new-to-me refurb phone. I want to love this phone but the hiccups and issues are causing me to want to throw it in the trash.

The phone is stock Android 2.3.4 .

My question is whether to craigslist this new phone and get a LTE or root it. Let here some opinions.

From what I've heard after 3 replacement, if you're still having problems you can ask Sprint to give you a new phone ... not a refurb'd 3D but a brand new off the shelf model. I actually was just able to get a new phone after 2 replacement and the 3rd was on backorder. I got a free GNex (no upgrade or contract extension required).

If you're having problems, I'd go to a store or call customer service, ask for a manager, and explaing that you're on your 3rd replacement and it's not working you you want a new phone.
