Trident Cases?

Just curious if anyone has used Trident in the past. I've been looking at different cases what seems to be forever now. As much as I don't like the bulkier cases, i need one with what I do at work occasionally (Im on tennis courts a lot so there's a lot of dust flying around, and hard concrete ready to break the phone). I had an Otterbox Defender for my Droid X and I liked it, but looking for something a little more different this time around.

Been looking at possibly getting the Kraken whenever it comes out. How's it been for past phones? I asked Trident how their thickness compared to OB and they said it would be a tad thicker.

I like trident a lot more than the ob..... First they have a harder outside, I find the rubber on the ob turns crappy after a while. They are not thin but as long as you realize you are getting a bulky case, you will not see a give difference compared to the ob.

This is only my opinion, I'm not saying it is right or wrong. God forbid anyone dislikes what I wrote.

I had a trident case for my gs2 and I loved it. It looks cool and offers awesome protection. The case I had was the aegis version and it was extremely well made and held up really well.

I'm looking at buying either OB defender, Ballistic Maxx, or trident kraken, but none of the companies have announced release dates for the cases. So, I'll end up buying the one that comes out first.

Att already has the ballistic case. I bought it and returned it. It didn't fit right with its screen ptotector. Att has it set at $50!

I'm waiting out for otterbox. Hope this helps out!

Cheers

Tridents are very nice, I just hate how it sticks in the pocket. Maybe if they make the aegis for the s3 I'll get it.

Strident cases are really good. I had one for my O.G. EVO. They will protect you phone for sure but they are bulky.

I don't find the cyclops to be sticky at all... Only thing is that the screen protector isn't what I would call "great" so my buddy cut his out. It all depends on what your line of work or play is.

Again just my humble opinion

Sorry I was talking about the Kraken for my Droid X. I've never used any of the other cases. I prefer tpu cases though, which is why I bought the Driztronic for my s3.

I was watching an unboxing video of the Kraken for the Iphone and if I understood it correctly, if you wanted to, you can basically turn the Kraken into a Aeigs by taking off the hard cover, correct?

not really aegis has rubber areas exposed at corners basically with a hard back on top of that kinda enforcing rubber to stay in place I guess not sure how to word that better.... Just guessing but I think kraken is similar maybe the hard is just thicker not really sure though....

Does this case have a built in screen or is it a static cling one? I always find the ones that are static cling that come with cases to not be all that great. I got one from ATT and it seems to stick on pretty well. But at the cost of $20! Either way I still think I will wait out for the OB Def.

I have a Trident Aegis for my Nexus S 4G and it has been fantastic. It does indeed add bulk but its very sturdy and gives a pretty high level of protection.
