trouble viewing /moving files to windows

I'm hooked up w/USB, windows recognizes the nexus as "portable media player", not as a drive, next subdirectory is "internal storage"

I can't really see all my Nexus folders/files

Nexus, looking with Astro has "Emulated" and sdcard0 as sub directories,

I have a directory called UCDownloads from the UC browser, it doesnt show up on the PC, nor do the files.
The whole directory tree is /sdcard/ucdownloads

not understanding why the PC won't just read everything that's on the tablet. thank you

Because current versions of android are accessed via mtp, not as usb mass storage. The reasons for this are too involved for me to get into. The upshot is you will need to find another way to copy those files. I would suggest either uploading to dropbox (or other cloud storage) or even better copy them to a local network share using es file explorer/wifi.

tx. had figured out the drop box work around, but the ES app is awesome to get direct into the LAN
