Trouble with GPS after upgrade.

Did my upgrade the other day OTA. Have had 4 random reboots and my GPS is now terrible. Prior to the upgrade my GPS seldom took longer than 30 seconds to get a lock. Yes a few times it did take longer but now it is terrbible. I called Verizon and the only thing they can recommend is a Factory Reset. I am pretty sure this will not work and it will just be very inconvenient for me to reload and reset my phone to the way I have it now so I am resisting doing it.

Is anyone else having this issue since the upgrade? Has anyone found the cure?

My GPS finally started working after the upgrade. Where as before it would never lock on. I used the GPS Status (free) app after the OTA update and cleared the GPS cache and made sure I got a lock. Then I powered down the phone, pulled the battery and SIM, and turned it back on to get a fresh start after clearing the GPS. Then opened up Maps to get a lock on. Closed Maps and opened Navigator and got a near instant GPS lock. Maybe that will help?

My gps has also been worse since the ota.

This was recommended on another forum and seems to be working well for many people there.

Try GPS status in the Market. Use the Manage AGPS state tool. Did it about 2 weeks ago have been locking in very quickly now
