Trouble with Intuit GoPayment card reader on Android phone..any suggestions?

Hey folks.....i have been using Intuit GoPayment for a few years as my credit card processing system. Previously used cc reader on IPAD without issue. Trying to use on my NEXUS 6 recently and card reader not working. Ordered new card reader, still not working. Followed all the basic suggestions: updated GoPayment app, turned volume on my Nexus 6 all the way up, etc.......help? ideas? fixes??
