Hi all. Recently I am not receiving messages from a few contacts in my list. Also they are not receiving messages from me. All other contacts are recieving and sending fine. It can be delays of several days. If I then phone them most of the messages come through. Some never do? I'm on ee and have a galaxy a15. Is anyone else experiencing this or ever experienced it? Or does anyone out there know what might be happening?

If you're sending messages via RCS (Rich Communication Services), there can be occasional glitches when communicating with iPhones. Are you using the Google Messages app or the Samsung Messages app (or something else)?

I have rcs messages turned off. I'm using Samsung Messages. (The one pre installed on the phone) . I've tried re starting. I've toggled airplane mode on and off and I've cleared the message app cache. Nothing. It's really getting to me.

A valid suggestion . However I would still like a reason why this is happening. I just can't think of how it can be happening to only two of my contacts when all the others are fine.

I don't have a definitive answer for you, sorry. It might be due to the vagaries of Apple's iMessage and how that interacts with RCS and SMS -- I'm sure you've seen in the news how reluctant Apple has been to make their iMessage system work well with anything besides iPhones. It might also be an issue with Samsung Messages -- Samsung is phasing out that app in favor of Google Messages, so they may not be putting much energy into updates and troubleshooting.

Sorry I have to make an ammendment . I think I was wrong . I think the message app I'm using is actually Google messages. The one with the white background and blue speech bubble. Does this make a difference to anything. Also I noticed in the Play Store there was an update availiable which I've just installed. Would and out of date version of the app do this? If so why?

This is the Google Messages icon:

The update might help, so keep an eye on things and see if you still have problems with messages going through.

try this method Go settings and select applications then application manager find (contacts) and press it. force close then clear data, another way is to simply remove your specific contacts and create them again
