Trouble with rooting

Hey guys, I have been trying to root my phone here but keep getting runtime errors with the windows one click root and the mac version when I open the script it doesn't do anything it just shows the script. I have to be doing something wrong. Any advice?
I do have the. Motorola drivers in.

Running xp. And Lion.

Make sure USB debugging is on and that when you plug it in you select "charge only"
