Troubles with podcasct playing

I very recently acquired a Moto G 3rd generation. Since day 1 I am having some troubles in playing podcasts.
Podcasts constantly stop playing, and resuming after a while. The interruption can range from 5 to 20 seconds. The same problem occurs when changing podcast player. Playing through earphones or speaker doesn’t matter either.
Streaming doesn’t pose any problems, nor does music playing or telephone calls.

Welcome to Android Central! How many different podcast players have you tried? Are the podcasts saved locally, or being streamed? I know you said that streaming doesn't pose any problems, but I wanted to make sure you weren't talking about some other kind of streaming, like YouTube.
