Troubleshooting VoLTE on at&t

Had an HTC 10 on a line on my at&t account. Worked great and had VoLTE. Decided to give the phone to a friend and they went from an iphone 4s to this phone, also still with at&t on a different account. VoLTE is not working and the option is missing under phone settings. It was there before on my account. Anyone have issues getting VoLTE up and running with at&t and what did you do to fix it? Before I re-gifted I did factory reset it.

Did they just toss a sim card in the phone and go? Might have to go to att and have them add the IMEI to the account and set up a fresh sim card.

On my account we just slapped a sim in it and it worked. Lol When I gave it away they had to get a new sim. I helped them activate it. The rep asked for the new sim and imei. So I'm puzzled.

The same thing happened to me... Try wiping the cache and then doing a factory reset. I forget how to do it though... It's one of those internal menus where you hold certain buttons down after a restart. Also, insert the new SIM before you do the setup, so it can get you on the network right away.

It corrected itself. After installing Nougat it said changes were made and the phone needed to reboot. After rebooting VoLTE was back under phone settings and turned on. Phone call confirmed.

Would you post a screen shot of where to VoLTE is found on the phone. I'm on AT&T and do not see the option. Thanks

Thanks. Oddly I didn't see that before until I updated to nougat.
