try differnt modem on my at&t USA cappy

service sucks right where i live so id like to try a differnt samsung USA at&t captivate modem so if anyone knows a good modem let me know and how to flash it thanks

I like jk4 for i9000 roms. It seems to be solid for ne florida. Have you also tried to disable hspa/3g?

JK4, JL2, JK3, and KP1 are probably the main ones you see being used.

There is more than one MODEM thread, and not a complete list anywhere... so search from the above location .

They are almost always clockwork ZIP files that you flash in recovery, but a TAR file would be done through Odin (PHONE). You may be in an area that does not have 3.14159G enabled very widely. If you got/get better signal when your phone was stock or with the older Cognitions, you may be in a HSUPA deprived area.
