OK can't believe I'm coming back to Android after the last 7 years being on iOS, though I starting to think my iPhone SE is starting live it's time to upgrade, for what I do I just have a few a few casual games like Chess.com, Threes, Chinese Chess, and few puzzle games like The Room, so don't need best of the best since I have a 64gb Micro SD card I can use to sub some storage, and I need NFC since I hate carrying around a lot of cards on trips now days.

So I came up with three phones, but not sure what is good or anything since being in the apple world, just don't really want to be tied to another lease, though been out of the tech community so long I not sure what good or not anymore, and if I go to a store only thing they keep trying to gt me to buy is a 1000-1400 dollar phone, which if I paying that I might as well buy a new Computer

  • Nokia 7.1
  • OnePlus 5T
  • OnePlus 6T

Hope everyone can help me decided on this

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think you can go wrong with the OnePlus 6T -- it's gotten pretty much universal praise, and the out of pocket cost is considerably less than other companies' flagships. If you want to save a little money, the 5T is a good choice, since it's a little older.

That being said, Nokia has also been impressing people with the quality of its phones, as well as their commitment to timely system updates. But OnePlus has been in this game a little longer, so with their experience, I'd lean more towards them.

I think the OnePlus 6T is a good idea, as well. You can buy it outright from OnePlus' website so you're not tied to a lengthy payment plan; and the phone is smooth, the camera is good, and I've heard excellent things about Oxygen OS. Keep us posted on what you decide!

OK, I think OnePlus 6T is the right phone after doing a little more research since I notice the Nokia doesn't support very many LTE Bands, do you think the extra for the 8gb's of ram is really worth it or do you think it over kill and I should get the 6gb model

Good choice on the OnePlus 6T! I think that all depends on your user preferences. If you're one to use a lot of storage on your phone, then I'd go for the 8 gigs, just to be safe. In my case, I always go for the lower gig-ed phone because I know I won't use the extra space.

Keep us posted!

robbielowe79 is asking about 8 GB vs 6 GB of RAM, rather than internal storage. I doubt 8 GB of RAM would be noticeably better than 6 GB of RAM. The 6 GB is already 50% more than the Pixel 2 XL, which runs everything smoothly. I've also read that many phones with huge amounts of RAM don't necessarily utilize all of it. Go for the 6 GB.

Hey guy's went a different route than we were all thinking, I went with the Nokia 6.1 found it as a open box on amazon, with the government shut down going to last till who knows when, so been helping mom and dad out a little bit, I went with this since it does most what always want it to do, I have google pay, and by the time I added about 24 apps I still had about 12gb's left for upgrades, I see a lot of people complaining about the the amount of ROM, but if you get creative with which apps you use I don't see a issue, since it a lot better than the 4 to 8 gbs I use to have on most androids in the past, plus it on the Android One so it get's updates for at lease 2 years which is nice. I may go with a better android phone later on down the road, I figured out family needs to come first so trying to figure out every which way to help Them a little bit a day. Though may still need a little help decided on a new watch thinking more going with Withings or getting a newer ticwatch in a few months, I have the original ticwatch but the battery life isn't that great, though we will discuss that when the time comes

Congratulations on your new Nokia device! Sounds like it has a lot of space for all of your apps and then some!

Good deal! Nokia has certainly become a force to reckon with, given the quality and features of their phones, as well as their overall value.
