I'm trying to flash a 4.4.4 original rom on my Verizon S5 using Odin but each time I get a message on Odin saying it fails. I downloaded the rom off sammobile dot com and Odin from Softpedia. Extracted the zip file as per instructions but it doesn't work.
I'm on the latest official version BOE1 from Verizon, non root.

Anyone has any ideas as to why I can't flash it? I'm tired of lollipop and the abysmal battery life I get ( my phone battery stats show it as awake along as my screen is on and I drop 7% in half an hour)

AT&T and Verizon Samsungs can't be flashed back over a major version number. 5,1.1 to 5.0 is okay, 5.0 to 4.4.4 won't work. The counter on your phone is set to 6, so it won't take any version lower than 5. (And the counter isn't resettable, it's like a fuse, it "blows" when a newer version is installed. If you update to M [whatever the name will be, if the version is 6], you won't be able to go back to Lollipop.)

Thanks for the clarification and thank you Verizon for being an @ss

Is this Samsung specic? Because I rolled back my wife's LG G3 from lollipop to kitkat
