So let's say that I very inexpensively acquire a Moto smartphone that won't be upgraded to JB (that is on their list of 2011 phones). Then, come next week, when I upgrade to the RAZR HD/MAXX I want to turn that phone in for the $100 rebate.

Does anyone know if it matters if I had to originally upgrade to that phone, matter if it actually works, or if it was ever activated on my account, etc? Wondering if anyone can share from the terms and conditions on how the rebate works if they have received them. ...I really want the MAXX. Just not that $299 price tag. A $199 price point would be sweet, and I am a returning Moto customer (D2G), after all. ;)

I believe they said any phone that came out in 2011 that doesnt get upgraded to jb will recieve a $100 if ur talking about the d2g that came out before 2011 so idk

Nah, I'm talking if I got one of the qualifying phones from a third party, regardless of working condition or if it had ever been activated on my line, if I would be able to turn it in for a rebate.

Apologies, being concise isn't my foremost talent! My main post sure needs rewritten. :P

I believe they require the original receipt.
