Hi all,

A friend asked me to help with an HTC One S in boot loop...

I have a little experience in rooting (having rooted my old droid incredible a couple of years ago)

But don't want to do further damage to the phone either...

I have hasoon's htc one s all-in-one kit... just need a little guidance with what to do next... A place download the correct RUU???

here are some screen shot's of what I can do but can't keep from going into boot loop...2013-12-15 12.44.47.jpg

thanks for any help!!

update-

Ugghhh!! Trying to flash the RUU within Hasoon and I get this:

sending 'zip' (50540 KB)...
OKAY [ 3.203s]
writing 'zip'...
(bootloader) signature checking...
FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
finished. total time: 9.230s

got the zipped RUU here: AndroidRUU | The #1 source for Android RUU files

a little help.....???

What was he doing? Do you know? Was he trying to flash a rom?

Yah, I think he flashed a rom. (my guess, the wrong one) and then it went into this boot loop.

I have since re-locked the bootloader and I am trying to run the correct RUU... just trying to make sure I have the right one. He is on t-mobile...

Using hasoon to flash the RUU has so far not worked....

Thanks!!!

You should of kept the bootloader unlocked. To fix the bootloop, you should of flashed the boot image of the rom to get out of the bootloop. This bootloop is happening because he has S-ON. Do you have the rom he was trying to flash?

I don't have the rom.. And he is away on a family vacation for the next couple of weeks..

Try to get a hold of him, unless you have his only phone :P. See if you can find out the rom he was trying to flash.

Will try and email him...I did just get the bootloader unlocked with hasoon..

Luckily he had given me the unlock code.bin before he left..

Just curious as to why the rom he tried flashing matters?

Thanks again!

If the case is with the rom, you can flash the boot.img (the kernel of the rom) manually to get out of the bootloop and I can show you how. Also this is unrelated, but I'm also making a toolkit for the HTC One S.
