Trying to like it… buttttt

This seems to be ongoing for me no matter what. I thought it was going to change with the new Android pay but it acts the same way. it'll work fine for an establishment and then it'll just decide to give me timeout errors no matter how many times I try then I have to go and pull out or return to my car ang get my credit card and use that anyway. I don't know if it's worth the hassle anymore as I'm always hesitant on whether it's going to work or not. Hit or miss is not good enough for me causes too much tension at the register especially with people behind you anyway maybe in the future they'll have a system full proof

It actually gives you an error that says it timed out? I haven't seen that yet. Do you have Smart Lock turned on or off?

Yes I have smart lock turned on. It may have been working fine when I wasn't using smart lock so I will test that.

Smart Lock might make it a little wonky. I use Smart Lock, so whenever I tap, I'm prompted to enter my unlock pattern. On my Nexus 5, I only have to enter it once. On my Zenfone 2, sometimes it has to be 2 or 3 times.

it worked yesterday after I turned off smart lock. then today it didnt work. The only thing I can think of is I have a VPN running in the background. could that be it? I don't remember if I had the VPN turned on when it worked yesterday. I guess back to testing
