Turbo 2 replacement on Verizon. $400 and under.

Nearing the end of my Turbo 2 life on my Verizon plan ($90 until payoff). Dropped it off the roof of the car on the highway two weeks ago and it's slowly dying. Don't want to file a claim since it's a $150 deductible and I hate this phone to begin with. Don't need a flagship. I want an awesome camera (including responsive and fast unlike the Turbo 2), great battery life, and a phone that just works. I don't use it for games, streaming content, etc. Just texting, photos, and web/apps.
Looking to avoid going through Verizon as I may be divorcing them soon to go out on my own , but I do need it to ber Verizon compatible for now.

They both have huge battery, good cameras and close to stock android. Best buy also has them on sale as well.

Nexus 5X works well for that and is very cheap. Otherwise the Moto G series is pretty good as well; especially the Moto G Play if you want killer battery life.

What about the LG G5? Still a great camera but much cheaper than the G6?
