turn off 4 soft button backlight

The 4 soft buttons on the bottom are always lit, and I can't seem to figure out why or how to adjust. Any help would be appreciated.

I think this is controled from the Nofitication Flash under Sound & Display in the settings

They cannot be turned off separately.

U can run the desk clock ap, then hit the night button.....thats the only way i know to make them go off..

CM7 will allow you to turn them off. But it's not Sense.

Yes you have to be running a custom ROM to accomplish this.
