Hi guys,

I have just published an app that lets you turn off almost any TV. Similar to the TV-B-Gone device, the app runs through all known 'off' codes. This is the ultimate prank app!

The app is currently only compatible with the HTC One due to the IR SDK I am using. I am working on support for other phones as well, such as the Samsung Galaxy S4. I will be sure to let you guys know when compatibility with other phones is reached. now compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S 4 in addition to the HTC One.

If you are interested, please check out my app on the play store! Also, I am actively looking for feedback / suggestions for new features so I can improve the app!

Enjoy! (responsibly...)

Hmm would you theoretically be able to integrate a full universal remote into the app as well? Or would that require to much space. I like the concept, but it would be cool to see a full remote since you already have the power option down.

Look forward to using this once it is supported on the s4. :)

Regarding Universal Remote functionality, I'm sure it's possible. The only drawback is that HTC Sense already has a very good implementation of this so I don't see a need for it.

I will add some functionality that will allow users to save specific codes so they don't have to go through the entire list again if they don't want to!

Good idea. I don't think any other OEM has this feature built into their phone as of yet, so it may actually be a good idea, if you're looking to make this compatible with other phones.

Good point. I might make that a separate application if I decide to do it. I'd like to retain the simplicity of the current app as I think that's a large part of the appeal.

Hi,

Does it specially support Samsung TV? Mine is LA46B750 series.

If it does, I would like to be able to write this App as a Task on Samsung TecTiles.Do you think it's possible? I don't mind to pay for it (It's SGD1.27 on Play Store)

Thanks!

Ok.I downloaded and tried. It's not really what I want. It takes too long to search through the code.My Samsung TV works, but it's like 40+ to 50. Wish there is a function to "lock"the code.

Any chance you will make this compatible with the Samsung G3?

Would it be possible to include a brand name or something so we could use a separate app to control it if it's covered up on the TV, also I don't know if u have this as I haven't tested it but could u add projecter frequency's too thx

Only because I want to loop the frequency so it'll turn off the projector's at school without me pressing anything on my phone (btw love how u can put ur phone on standby while it's running)
