Turn off notifications while on a call

I think I'm going crazy, but I can't find the option to disable the vibrate notification while on a call. If I'm talking to someone, and I get an email or text, the phone vibrates and the other end asks what the noise was. I think I turned this on, but now can't find how to turn it off.

It's definitely a default on and I can't find it either, the only way I have been able to is by using handcent in which case you.can better customize the alerts but for those using stock, I'm not sure...

You can disable the vibration for emails or text but this would stop the vibrating notification even if you weren't on the phone.

isn't there a setting for notifications under call settings?
