Turn off unread email account Galaxy S4 email icon

Good day - I recently purchase a Galaxy S4 and set up my corporate email account. The email icon shows the number of unread email in the account - is there any way to turn this off? I do not want to be continually reminded of all of the work that is waiting for me!

I apologize if this has been posted before, I have tried to search the forums to find the answer.

I don't think there's a setting for that... At least not in the stock app.
