Turn on to test then turn off again...

My Mom bought me a Samsung Tablet today, she opened it to test it and after confirming that it is ok she is turning it off again. My mom is not that much of a tech person, also my mom won't be home for the next 2 1/2 weeks. My question is..

Will the tablet be ok even though it has been turned on to be tested and be turned off again for the next 2 1/2 weeks. Will it still open until it arrives here? Because my mom don't want to use the tablet so much because she thinks she might break it so as soon as they finished checking the device my mom immediately turned it off then return it to the box. As said above, my mom is not a tech person. )

The tablet will be fine.

It should still run the setup when booted up in 2 1/2 weeks and no harm comes from turning it on to make sure it boots, then shutting down.
