Turning off calendar reminder sound?

If I have a reminder for a calendar event, the reminder comes with a sound effect I would like to stop. In settings, I have notifications set to silent, but get the sound anyway. Any suggestions?

Is this the built in Samsung calendar? No chance you have two different apps reminding, like another calendar or a task/memo app? Turn on the sound and restart the phone. Turn it off, restart the phone again. Sometimes these settings don't take without a little reboot prodding.
