Turning off E-mail sound notifications

I'm having difficulty learning how to turn off the e-mail received sound. Could someone please specify the procedure?

So you want visual notifications but not the sound, right? O.k.
Open email app and select the account(s) you want to silence.
Hit menu --> More --> Account settings.
Scroll down to Notifications Settings.
Select --> Select Ringtone --> Sounds.
SCROLL UP through the list of sounds and select SILENT as the sound source.
This should do it.
